Background
webshare.space is a file-sharing platform powered by DK Lab’s core technology, Registry, a cloud-based computing solution.
The goal of this project was to design a logo that stands confidently on its own, giving Webshare a clear personality while remaining visually aligned with the larger DK Lab brand family.
Approach
1. Understanding
The founder had already designed the DK Lab logo, and we agreed to have the Webshare logo as a visual extension of it. Before starting the design, I took a close look at the DK Lab logo, which features 3 oval dashes inspired by the “Qián” hexagram from the “I Ching” (☰), each carrying its own meaning:
The blue dash represents the Sky: symbolizing freedom and reaching beyond limits.
The orange dash represents the Human element: symbolizing for creativity, action, and bold thinking.
The green dash reflects the Earth: symbolizing sustainability and balanced growth.
Together, the elements show a balance of dreaming big, taking action, and staying grounded.

2. Ideation
To me, the 3 oval dashes are simple and powerful. Their ability to change shape and meaning inspired me to use them to express movement and progress. That’s where the idea of momentum came in. It’s the energy that keeps things moving forward.
The name webshare.space is already catchy and perfectly fits the product’s purpose. So I used the dashes to represent thesmooth, effortless flow of file sharing.
File Transferring & Sharing Idea
3. Experiment with typography
I placed the 3 dashes between “share” and “space” to represent the flow and connection. “Webshare” marks the start of the sharing process, while the dot signifies the endpoint. And “space” represents the path from one endpoint to another.
For the font, I chose Lexend Deca because of its clean, modern look and the balanced design of the letter “S”. I think the balance in the “S” helps give the logo a sense of stability and harmony.

4. Experiment with colors
I reused colors from the DK Lab logo, adjusting the color codes for better readability on digital screens. I also emphasized the words “share” and “space” to make the name stand out and clearly highlight the product’s purpose – sharing files and providing storage.

5. Setting up Guidelines
The following guidelines define proper logo usage for color and spacing to maintain consistency across different touchpoints.
