Project Overview
This project is a proposal to design a mobile app for Gigsberg based on their existing website. The proposal had 2 goals:
Improve the ticket-buying experience from a UX perspective.
Translate the existing brand into a mobile app through UI and visual design.
In this case study, I focus on the visual design aspect, using the homepage as the main example to represent the overall look and feel of the app.
Approach
1. Brand & Product Review
To start, I reviewed the existing website’s colors, logo, typography, and UI elements to understand the current visual style. This helped me decide which elements should stay consistent in the mobile app to keep the brand identity.
2. Wireframe Interpretation
I studied the wireframes to understand the layout, content structure, and page hierarchy. Then I compared them with the website to explore how the design could adapt to a modern mobile interface.
3. Visual Style Exploration
Since the target users are between 29 and 39 years old (for demonstration purposes), the goal was to create a visual style that feels modern, energetic, and friendly. The mood board below was used to explore the visual direction.
Final UI Outcome
Below is the final look, feel, and scrolling interaction of the homepage. This design is ready to be handed off to the development team for implementation.
Component System
Alongside the final UI, I built a set of core UI components to ensure consistency across the app. Each component includes defined interactions and behaviors so they can scale and adapt to different use cases.
These components are organized in a Design System used throughout the product.
